Grandmother on my mom's side passed away yesterday. I'm supposed to be a pallbearer during the ceremony so I need to find some good clothes. We're leaving tomorrow and I won't be back until at least Sunday.

So I reinstalled Steam, but now I have to download all my games again. I left Half-Life 2 downloading while I slept and it's still only 65% done.

I just had a weird dream (it's rare enough I have one at all) so I better jot it down now while it's still fresh in my head.

Well first off, I was playing what I assumed was HeartGold (yet I wasn't in any recognizable area) using the pokeradar. I ran into 3 shinies within minutes, but I can't remember what pokemon they actually were, I only recall the shiny patches of grass.
After all that I was in some mall building or something, and what was going on seemed like a mix of the Battle Frontier, a convention (for what I have no idea), and a contest where you would run through a store and grab as much merchindise as possible within a time limit for free, like how Toys R Us did way back when.
Anywho I was messing around the Frontier areas when I was picked for those grab-fest runs I mentioned. All I remember was running down a long flight of stairs to get to the stuff I wanted to grab, and dumping a bunch of miscellaneous things I can't even begin to recall into a bag, however I did run across a large shiny Eevee plush on the way. Made me think of Teirusu, who's birthday was yesterday. Happy birthday bro! :3
Also for some reason that scorpion bitch (sans tail) from Gurren Laggan who's name I can't recall was one of the frontier brains there.

Speaking of Pokemon, the Platinum event to recieve Oak's Letter, and thus, catch Shaymin at the Flower Paradise is on, I already got it and caught Shaymin on the first ball. I got lucky and got the bold nature I wanted from the first shot. Though what I wrote on the rock at Route 224 is a secret...

The desk I've been waiting for finally came, it's sitting by the front door for now until I bother putting it together and cleaning my room up, but that will have to wait because I'm leaving this weekend.

To go visit my dad and grandmother as the Red Flannel festival is this Saturday. I go there every year, and it's a nice way to kill time with folks. Usually there's stuff like a car show, various skits played out around town, a few rides I never really attend. I always go there for the parade and the carnie food. Bringing home a few bags of delicious caramel corn this year. >:3

I've been waiting nearly 2 weeks for my computer desk to come in the mail and it hasn't even shipped yet. Various parts of myself are becoming quite sore from being on the floor for so long.

Look I've pieced it together...

Yeah, it runs pretty great right now but I'm not really making heavy use of it until I get a desk to go with it. Sitting on the floor is not very comfortable for PC use.
And my desk doesn't come in 2 weeks....

There's a lot more space to move around at the door now, until I set up my PC desk anyway.
I gotta get to filling out these job applications I gathered last week...

Finally spent the dough to get myself a new desktop. I am now nearly broke.
The mail can't come soon enough. Where's my PC parts, Newegg?

I just hope I can install the OS and get everything running without a hitch, I downloaded an ISO of Windows XP corporate for the multi-core support, but I hope it'll handle my SATA drives okay.

We have another dog. Mother brought home another jack russel from a family that was getting rid of it. Her name is Penny and she's even tinier than Paisey; that's saying a lot.
The funny thing is that this dog almost instantly warmed up to me from day 1. She likes me a lot more than she does mother, which is fine, except when she's being way too clingy and whiny.
She's mostly white, with the only significant spot of brown over one of her eyes, giving an illusion that one eye is larger than the other, and she has crooked tooth that sticks out a bit and gives her a really funny look on her face most of that time.

She hasn't been here a week and she's already adjusting to how we live, I'm still baffled at why she chose me of all people to like most.

My newer external harddrive is starting to have problems. I swear there's some sort of spirit here that hates electronics or something.
I'm very close to affording a new PC, though. Hopefully it won't die before I can get that and copy everything to it.

Every afternoon I get raped in the ass by high pingtimes and shitty speeds. This is getting ridiculous. Cheap-ass ISP can't even keep their shit up to date with our area's demands.

Reply to this meme by yelling "Words!" and I will give you five words that remind me of you. Then post them in your LJ and explain what they mean to you.

She only managed two:

Well I suppose this is what got me back into pokemon post third-gen like her. I dunno, I just saw people posting images catching my attention and eventually finding out "that's a pokemon?!"
Anyway, I like the looks, I like the abilities, and I like the qualities of the character so sue me.

Mario
I have no idea why she came up with this for me, I know perhaps a couple other people this would fit much better under, but whatever. Mario games have always been a pretty reliable franchise (save for a few notorious examples). Though I am a big fan of the RPG series, I'd say the (first two) Paper Mario games rate very high in my favorite RPGs of all time.

So today, I got a Japanese event Arceus from Gallade into Platinum.
But the highlight of this post I suppose is that there is going to be another Darkrai giveaway very soon, but it's not a Toys R Us event. This event is to unlock the inn in Canalave City that leads to Newmoon Island. It'll be done via Nintendo WFC on Mystery Gift, and I heard it's for Platinum only, but I don't see why it wouldn't work with Diamond or Pearl given that they both have data on Newmoon Island.
It runs from August 3rd to September 13th, so there's plenty of time to snag one if you want.

Oh and about those photos I said I was going to upload, I'm lazy.

I'm not sure if I mentioned how rarely I actually recall the messed up visions I have in my sleep, but today I had a real crack-case.

Long-ass post ahoy! )

Speaking of vacation, I'll get around to uploading those pictures sometime later tonight.

Blargh, I've been awake since 3PM yesterday and now I gotta drive for 3 hours to get back home today.
I'm gonna need more coffee.
I took some crappy pictures on the trip (nothing special, mostly the layout of the place) that I'll put up on my photobucket sometime. I'll give a detailed story with it, too, but right now I'm just trying to stay awake so I don't smash up another car.

Yeah, time for the annual trip to "Camp lack-a-winnebago" with my dad's side of the family. I'm already ad my dad's house and we're leaving Wednesday.
Pity I couldn't find anyone to go with me this year. One's off in another state, and the only other person worth asking didn't want to go.

Last weekend I drove up to dad's for a few days to do a couple things. Saturday I went with my dad and apparently his new girlfriend to go kayaking down the Little Muskegon River. That lasted a good 3 hours, and my back was incredibly sore Sunday.
Speaking of Sunday, I went to meet someone I knew off of 4chan/MSN who happened to live in Grand Rapids and saw the new Transformers movie with him that night. Pity it was past midnight when it was finished and he had to work Monday, I wanted to do more with him.
